National Park Access Pass
Inclusive Travel & Recreation
Living an inclusive lifestyle means being aware of the incredible recreation and travel options available to us. The Access Pass is a lifetime "golden ticket" for individuals with permanent disabilities, opening the doors to over 2,000 federal sites across the country. Whether it's taking in the ocean views at Cabrillo or exploring the redwoods, this pass is all about making the great outdoors accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Experience More for Free
Traveling with an inclusive mindset is about enjoying the moment and the unique accommodations designed to help us explore. With the Access Pass, you're not just getting free entry—you're getting an invite to experience the best of our national heritage with ease and dignity.
From watching military aircraft bank over the San Diego harbor to finding a quiet moment in a mountain meadow, these parks belong to you. The inclusive accommodations, like dedicated parking and accessible trails, ensure that your focus stays on having fun and making memories.
How to Secure Your Lifetime Pass
- GATHER DOCUMENTATION: You must provide a physician's letter or a federal award letter (SSDI/VA). A state blue placard alone is not stand-alone proof for this application.
- SELECT YOUR METHOD: You can apply online via the USGS Store ($10 processing fee) or get it for **free** in person at any federal entrance station that charges a fee.
- THE "DOUBLE HANG" STRATEGY: Once you arrive, display your Blue State Placard for the parking stall and your Access Pass for entry validation.
- ENJOY THE ACCOMMODATIONS: Check the park's "Accessibility" page before you arrive. Many parks have specific routes or perks for pass holders that make your visit much smoother.
